While living in California I once took a workshop with the wonderful quilt artist Dorle Stern-Straeter from Bavaria in Germany, who teaches a special technique of cutting up fabric into small pieces and reassembling it. It looks like random piecing, but there is actually a pattern to it. Some time later I made this wall hanging using what I had learned from her.
Machine pieced and appliqued, quilted with metallic thread, cotton fabric, 60 cm x 80 cm
