GOOD BYE SPRING - till next year

Spring is over almost everywhere here in Israel, prevailing only in the mountains. At our highest one, the Hermon in the north, spring has even not arrived yet. But in the flat land and the valleys the celebration is mostly over. The days are starting to be hot and the colors change into hues of brown and beige. This does not mean there are no wildflowers at all to be found anymore, but the dramatic nature concert of the last months has slowed down to a quieter and softer melody.
Here are some photos to remember and enjoy.

This is a very small selection, there is a tremendous variety of Mediterranean flora here and I had a hard time to decide on the photos. They are all taken by my husband Uri Eshkar.

Yael, these flora photos are stunning! I love Uri's nature photography because he captures the wild beauty...and you look wonderful! Those deep purple iris's are out of this world. XOX

For some (dumb) reason, I only pictured deserts and that beige and brown landscape you describe when I thought of Israel. These are just gorgeous pictures. About the apples, the trees grow wild now, so probably not the best fruits, or maybe they are, I don't know.

Beautiful walk in the countryside, and with a dog, lovely.
