ALHAMBRA GRANADA ANDALUSIA SPAIN

Yes Dawn, you guessed and you gave a wonderful explanation! :-)

"the red fortress" - "a pearl set in emeralds" -"paradise on earth"

The unbelievable gorgeous ceilings...

Fountains, columns, beautiful gardens, arched windows, lace like window panes, colorful tiles. Breathtaking artwork of carvings everywhere, on the walls, columns, arches, not the tiniest space left empty, till high up on the ceilings. Splendid views on Granada all around, and on the surrounding hills...

Click on the pictures to appreciate this terrific place even more...

Oh, hooray! I think it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been, as far as historical sites are concerned. The way water is featured in every detail is breath-taking. It's such a harmonic place...Yael, I was there in 2006. If only our paths would cross...

Liebe Yael,

As I was looking at these fabulous pictures I was trying to imagine what it must be like to life there. Would you get used to the beauty or see it everyday? Lucky people that there!

Beautiful! I went there many years ago, I'd very much like to go back.

Oh, I missed this guessing game, Yael, but I never would have guessed this place.

The photos are fabulous! What a special place, and so many detailed ornaments. Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks for your nice comment, Yael. I hope you are feeling better now!
Hugs :)

My daughter had a trip to Spain and loved Alhambra. As for myself, I so enjoyed this virtual tour at Alhambra with the rich, artistic remnant of Islamic Spain with you, Yael and Uri. I feel like that I heard the Memories of Alhambra while seeing. The cityscape is so beautiful.

I live less than half an hour away from Granada. I studied there, and so did Rebecca.
