ROMAN ART - TRIER, GERMANY

Image may contain: drawing

After returning home from a trip to the Mosel area of Germany, I made this drawing, inspired by a visit to the Rheinisches Landesmuseum of Trier. I was very much taken by the archaeological finds of the Roman period, especially from Neumagen-Dhron, which is located only some miles north east of Trier, with the impressive grave monuments and the extensive mosaic collection displayed at the museum.
