THE BIGGEST BAG I EVER MADE
It traveled with a lovely lady to France - I like to think it is useful for her and she enjoys its beauty!
Created from decorator fabric and vintage Bedouin embroidery, embellished with couched down novelty yarn and ribbons, quilted in vermicelli style with variegated metallic thread and adorned with silk tassels found at the market in Yafo, with buttons and beads and with appliqued pomegranates and butterflies. The bottom and the handles are made from leather.
It is lined with home dyed cotton fabric and features two big inside pockets made from Bedouin embroidery as well, and closes with a pink zipper.

On such a scale! Unbelievable. For me, as a potter, some of the most difficult work I do is on large pieces. There is so much room for error and the larger the work, the larger the error (they seem to mutate at such sizes). This bag is so dense and rich...it is a MARVEL! My hat is off to you, Yael. This is not only impressive from a technical standpoint, it is gorgeous from an artistic one.
This bag is a work of art! The colors and textures are gorgeous. What a lucky lady to have such an unique and beautiful bag to travel with!
