MORNING WALK

I was not well and house bound for a little while. This morning I went outside into the sun for the first time after three weeks. There was so much to enjoy, so many things to see, small and modest and gorgeous, and oh so pretty - we had a great walk, lovely Ella and I, just around the neighborhood and through the meadow...

"If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden."
(From the movie "The Secret Garden")

Come with me and see for yourself...  :-)

I am better now and thankful for every good day!

What a beautiful peek into your life, Yael. I love your sweet dog. I do hope you will be well and for good soon. It sounds like things are looking up. (And I love those numbers on the houses!)

Thanks for coming by Marmelade Gypsy -- I really appreciated your taking time to comment.

Dear Yael - I hope you have kept good health since the posting of this post. I didn’t know you were ill, but how nice you could stroll around your neighborhood and see the world as garden. Your dog nicely posed in the first image, so photogenic. The flowers (#2 and 3) look like a universe by itself. Have lovely and healthy days ahead.

I am glad that your are better again, I hope it lasts.
Yes, the world as a flower garden, wouldn’t that be wonderful? If only!

Maybe I’ll post some pictures again some time, I am only just starting to blog again and I am hoping that this time I will keep at it. It’s such a pleasure to feel that I have friends all over the world. Millie is getting very old and the garden is dry and dying in parts. I complain about the heat here while other people suffer much higher temps.

Dear Yael – Thank you for your concern about the latest super typhoon which hit Japan. Fortunately, my families had no damages in each place.

I have seen abnormal weather worldwide. Here in Japan, the uncommon seem to have become the common especially since last winter (in my impression.) Unprecedented weather one after another. As to the latest super typhoon, “safety first” policy made it announced the previous day that almost all the schools and shops would be closed, trains and flights suspended. Needless to say the destructive power of the wind (50 meters per second at most), facilities at the seafront were damaged a lot including KIX (Kansai airport) because the typhoon hit at the time of high tide.

October is one of the best seasons weatherwise; mostly sunny with cool and crisp air. Typhoon season is from late May to early October; mostly July, August, and September. Wish good weather will be on the side of your granddaughter.

Have happy days ahead,

Yoko
