DESERT STATE OF MIND...
We went south today and without words I just let speak some impressions...
It was a great and glorious day.
Negev Desert, Large Makhtesh
A makhtesh is a geological landform considered unique to the Negev desert of Israel and the Sinai peninsula of Egypt. A makhtesh has steep walls of resistant rock surrounding a deep closed valley which is usually drained by a single wadi. The valleys have limited vegetation and soil, containing a variety of different colored rocks and diverse fauna and flora. (Wikipedia)
The beautiful photos are by my husband Uri Eshkar

These photos are simply stunning! Really, no words are needed (however I am deeply grateful for the explanation you gave!).
Dear Yael - I’m happy to know that you had such a nice travel. The impressions you gave us through images made me feel in awe to the nature. Hope you had a Happy Hanukah and wish you and your family a peaceful and healthy New Year.
