The almond tree is called "Shaked" in Hebrew all year round and it is very modest and unnoticeable, but in spring when it blooms so gloriously, and is not to be overlooked it is called "Shkedia"!
Traumbilder, Yael! Wir kamen gerade aus Linköping und unterwegs hat es geschneit. Keine Blüte weit und breit, kannst Du Dir denken. Was wäre ein blühender Mandelbaum jetzt für ein Anblick!
LOVE your new info for me on this beauty Yael! Ours are in bloom as well. just said to Richard this morning, it's a tad early and it's wonderful to see all of them around the countryside!
They have awakened from their winter sleep! So beeeeeautiful!! We had an almond tree in our yard in Arizona... gorgeous in the spring .. and I loved eating them!
Beautiful photos Yael!! I've been visiting almond and apricot trees too, trying to capture their loveliness with my camera. They smell so good when you get right inside them!
Thank you for this post, Yael, as I haven’t seen Almond blossoms before. I wonder why almost all the fruit trees bloom such beautiful flowers. Cheers to all the glory and beauty of the Almond blossoms!
Beautiful! These almond trees must be like our southern azalea ... modest bushes that blossom gloriously every spring. It will be a couple more weeks until ours bloom. Susan PS Thanks for the lovely comments on my blog!
