Ahhhh, SO PINK - Ohhhh, SO WHITE



If not for other reasons only for his wonderful flower photos I would already love my husband! :-)

  3. Hi Smithy,
    I am glad you love the flowers. The Latin name of the first one (should it help) is Bellardia trixago. Sorry to ruin the romantics, but it is a semi parasite. Its roots suck water and minerals from the roots of other plants, it clings to.
    The second one is Trifolium dichroanthum, or more simply a kind of Clover. There are over 200 kinds of Clover, 51 of them grow in Israel.
    And sorry, dear Dawn, neither of them has fragrance.

  4. Looking at the third piccie, I can see where our ancestors got their inspiration for medieval floor tile designs!

  8. Sensationell! Das aufregendste Foto ist für mich das auf den viereckigen Blütenstand von oben. Der Vergleich mit Karl Blossfeldt liegt auf der Hand!

    Die Bilder sind wirklich sehr schön und zeigen die Pflanze von ihrer schönsten Seite. Auch wenn sie als Schmarotzer lebt, hat sie auf den Fotos etwas orchideenhaftes und wirkt zart und weich.
