Hi Smithy, I am glad you love the flowers. The Latin name of the first one (should it help) is Bellardia trixago. Sorry to ruin the romantics, but it is a semi parasite. Its roots suck water and minerals from the roots of other plants, it clings to. The second one is Trifolium dichroanthum, or more simply a kind of Clover. There are over 200 kinds of Clover, 51 of them grow in Israel. And sorry, dear Dawn, neither of them has fragrance. Uri
GlG Inbar

Looking at the third piccie, I can see where our ancestors got their inspiration for medieval floor tile designs!
ReplyDeleteThere's just GOT to be a piece of stitching in there somewhere :-)))
ReplyDeleteYou are right Yael, your husband's photos are amazing!!! And these flowers are breathtaking in their beauty!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! And I love the soft colours.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos :)
Sensationell!
